Here are some questions to get to know me better. They are also examples of questions you can ask new friends when exploring new communities to find a new safe space.
How did you get into gaming?
I grew up with three brothers, all of them are gamers. We always got along and they heavily influenced my interests and hobbies, primarily gaming. Often I would play co-op games with my younger brother, like Super Mario Bros Wii or Minecraft, and we'd all play each other on Smash Bros. Melee any time we were all together. My older brothers would have consoles or set up games for us, and they are the main reason I got into gaming.
What's your favourite game?
It's so hard for me to pick one game because there are so many that I love! As of right now, gun to my head, I'd have to pick Hollow Knight! The game is so well thought out and the art is incredibly cute! The difficulty of the game progresses at a good pace and this game was my first ever souls-lite! It has definitely made me a better gamer. Other games I love include, TLOZ: Breath of the Wild, Valorant, TFT and Celeste!
Who are you inspired by within the gaming sphere?
I have always enjoyed Pansy's commentating, and very much look up to her as a woman who has made it within the gaming sector. I'm also inspired by many esports players, such as SR Alexis, SR Noia, G2 Mimi and G2 Petra.
What's the hardest game you have played?
I am currently playing Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, and I have never wanted to rip my hair out more. Outside of Foddian games, I would say the Pantheons within Hollow Knight are fairly difficult.
What hobbies do you have outside of gaming?
I enjoy going on walks, weightlifting, and when I can ice skating! I love being creative, doing fun make-up or face paint, or drawing! I love creating content and spending time with my niece and nephew! I'm very into baking, my favourite cake to bake is a banana one! I also enjoy a good sitcom like Community or It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in the UK but ethnically I am Indian! I grew up in Milton Keynes, and moved away when I was 18. I've only been able to visit India once!
