Twitch Women's Guild

What is the Twitch Women's Guild?

Twitch Unity Guilds are spaces where creators are able to share their experiences, identity and passion with other people like them. They are spaces directly funded by Twitch, with official branding, that allow minority groups and underrepresented people to have a protected voice. These spaces offer a safe opportunity to learn and grow.

Why is Twitch Women's Guild Important to me?

I am a minority woman who has always been within male dominated spaces. Being a part of a space where my voice can be heard is incredibly valuable to me. I am so excited to get to know other streamers just like me and have the opportunity to partake in events that spread awareness about people with low representation.

On the outside, with branding, I am looking to spread awareness about women in gaming, as well as show that I am a part of a larger organisation that looks to protect the voices of women. I want to further encourage the safe spaces I create within my community, and assure new members that I will look out for them.

Behind closed doors, I look to use this opportunity to learn more about these spaces, how I can use my influence and impact to make a difference within the gaming sphere for underrepresented groups, and connect with other likeminded people looking to do the same.

Ultimately, I am excited to be part of making a change, and proud of myself for reaching out and achieving something that aligns with what I believe in.
